Coaching at the moment of a mistake
Most online safety training happens long before the moment that matters. Our browser coach speaks up at the moment itself, kindly and without blame, so the good habit sticks.
What it does
Three moments where it steps in
A link that goes somewhere else
In Outlook on the web or Gmail, if a link's words show one website but it really goes to another, the coach tells you before it opens.
Your password on the wrong page
If you start typing the password you use for Microsoft or Google into a page that isn't the real sign-in page, the coach asks you to stop.
A look-alike website
If a website is pretending to be a well-known name, like a bank, HMRC or Royal Mail, or your own organisation, the coach shows a gentle check-this-first message.
Your privacy
Every check happens on your device
The coach doesn't send your passwords, the pages you visit or the content of your emails to us or anyone else.
To spot your password on the wrong page, the coach keeps a scrambled, shortened fingerprint of it in your browser. The fingerprint can't be turned back into your password and never leaves your computer. Read the full privacy notice.
For organisations
Free for you, and ready for your whole team
The coaching is free for anyone. Organisations that want it on every work computer, set up for their own name and joined up with the rest of CyberSafe Coach, use one of our organisation plans.
Free for anyone
- All three warnings, on any computer with Chrome or Edge
- A count of your own coaching moments this week
- Your organisation's website added by hand, so look-alikes of it are caught
- Every check on your own device, with nothing sent to us
With an organisation plan or pilot
- Installed on every work computer at once through Microsoft Intune, Group Policy or the Google Admin console
- Your organisation's name and websites set once by IT, so look-alikes are caught for everyone

- One small step a week for everyone, practice phishing emails and the Connected Check
Questions
Is it free?
Yes, the coaching on your own computer is free. Setting it up across a whole organisation comes with our organisation plans.
Why does it ask to read and change data on websites?
Chrome and Edge show that message for any add-on that works on every website. The coach needs it to look at a link before it opens, notice a password box and recognise a look-alike website. It doesn't change pages, apart from showing its own message, and it doesn't send what it sees anywhere.
Will it slow my browser down?
No. The checks are small and only run when you click a link in your email or type into a password box.
Does it replace antivirus or my email filter?
No. It's a coach, not a guarantee. It helps you build the habit of checking at the moments that matter, alongside the protection you already have.
How do I remove it?
Right-click the coach's icon next to the address bar and choose Remove. Everything it kept in your browser is deleted with it.
