    Platform Guide

    How CyberSafe Coach+ works

CyberSafe Coach helps you reduce online risk through practical, everyday actions. Instead of overwhelming you with complexity, it guides you through clear steps you can apply straight away.

    The Problem

Most online incidents come down to everyday decisions, not just technology. A rushed click, a reused password, or a missed check can create risk, and that can happen to anyone.

That is why CyberSafe Coach takes a calm, supportive approach focused on practical prevention rather than fear.

    The Safety Habit Framework

    • Behaviour-first, not tech-first
    • Simple, clear guidance
    • Designed for real people, not specialists
    • Focus on small, consistent improvements

Step 1: Complete Your Safety Check

Start with a quick check for a fast snapshot, or choose a full assessment for deeper insight. Both are designed to be completed in just a few minutes.

The check covers key areas including emails, passwords, devices, and online awareness.

    Step 2: Understand Your Score

You receive a clear, easy-to-understand score that shows where you are today.

The score is guidance, not judgement. It highlights both your strengths and the priority risks to focus on next.

Step 3: Follow Your Action Plan

Based on your results, CyberSafe Coach creates a personalised plan with practical next steps.

You can start with quick wins for immediate impact, then work through longer-term improvements at a steady pace.

Step 4: Build Safer Habits Over Time

Progress tracking helps you stay consistent and see what is improving over time.

The platform is designed to reduce overwhelm, support focus, and build confidence through small repeatable actions.

Transparency: how the platform works under the hood

We believe you should understand exactly what the platform does with your information and how it produces results. Here is a clear breakdown of the five things people most often ask us about.

How your safety score is calculated

Each answer in your safety check is mapped to a weighted risk-and-impact value based on our proprietary methodology. High-priority items (such as account access and phishing awareness) carry more weight than lower-impact items, producing a normalised score out of 100. Your score updates as you complete fixes and re-check categories, so it always reflects where you are today.

How behavioural insights track real improvement

Over a rolling 28-day window we measure five behavioural dimensions, consistency, responsiveness, awareness, follow-through, and resilience, using deterministic formulas (no guesswork or AI scoring). This shows whether your safer habits are sticking, not just whether you completed a one-off task.

How weekly tasks drive consistent safety habits

Every Monday you receive a small, focused task tailored to your highest-priority gaps, with a Thursday email reminder. Tasks rotate based on a 10-week history check so you are never repeating the same action, and each completed task contributes XP toward Bronze, Silver and Gold milestones.

How compliance frameworks are mapped automatically

Your answers and completed fixes are automatically mapped to the relevant frameworks for your region, including UK GDPR and education-sector standards such as KCSiE. You can see exactly which controls you meet, which need work, and download evidence packs for audits or trustees, without ever filling in a separate form.

How AI is used transparently and optionally

AI is only ever used to explain your results in plain English or to summarise scam alerts and threat updates, never to score you, judge you, or make decisions about you. Any feature that processes data outside the UK or EU (such as our Digital 999 assistant) requires your explicit consent first, and you can use the platform fully without ever turning AI features on.
