    The Person Behind CyberSafe Coach+

One founder, real experience, building something that actually helps.

CyberSafe Coach+ was built by someone who kept seeing what happens when individuals and small organisations are left to work out online safety on their own. There is no large corporation behind this and no investor telling us what to build. It is run from Lancashire with one goal: making it easy for anyone, whatever their technical knowledge, to stay safe online. If that sounds like your organisation, that is rather the point.

I started CyberSafe Coach+ because I kept seeing the same problem: people being targeted online, scams, account breaches, suspicious messages, and having nowhere straightforward to turn. Most advice was either buried in technical jargon, designed to sell something, or only available after things had already gone wrong. That felt like a gap worth closing.

My background sits across two worlds. I've spent over a decade working in regulated industries, banking, logistics, and financial services, where protecting sensitive data and managing risk is non-negotiable. I'm now studying for an MSc in Cybersecurity at Aston University and hold the ISC2 Certified in Cybersecurity qualification. That combination of practical industry experience and formal security training shapes everything about how CyberSafe Coach+ is built: calm, evidence-based, and focused on what people can actually do.

I will be straight with you about why I care about this as much as I do. I was brought up in children's residential homes from the age of 5 until 18. I am care experienced. Looked after children are among the most targeted young people online, and in most rooms I sit in I am the only person who has been the child rather than the adult on shift. That is why the work with residential care, care leavers and looked after children exists, and why the language on this platform never blames the person who was targeted.

I'm based in Preston, Lancashire, and the platform has grown out of genuine community involvement. CyberSafe Foundation CIC is a registered Community Interest Company, a proud member of Lancashire Partners Against Crime (LANPAC), and a registered Friends Against Scams organisation. The work we do is shaped by the same values: no blame, no scaremongering, just honest and practical support for the people who need it.

    Our Charitable Arm

    CyberSafe Foundation CIC

Making digital safety accessible to everyone

CyberSafe Foundation CIC is our registered Community Interest Company, the charitable engine behind CyberSafe Coach+. It exists to make digital safety genuinely accessible to organisations that need it most, including charities, schools, and community groups who can't afford a full subscription.

Through the CyberSafe Pledge, we donate 2% of every subscription and every Team Safety Snapshot or Personal Safety Report purchase directly to the CIC, automatically, with no opt-in required. Subscribers can also choose to add an optional 10% community contribution on top. The more people and businesses we help, the more communities across the UK can access practical, jargon-free online safety support.

We're working directly with founding organisations across Lancashire to make sure what we build actually reflects what people need.
